Tab Trade — What It Is
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.
His background is relevant. It suggests the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
They launched with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade did the opposite. Interesting choice.
The instrument list: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, equities, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, that range is solid.
What You Trade On
Available: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Many pick one platform. Access to both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 before, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better DOM. Faster charting. cBot support. Many people find it more natural after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is apparently in the works. That will round things out when it lands.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can be under half a pip. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade does not.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not for typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
Execution Speed
The execution is the thing Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.
Does it matter? If you scalp, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.
Combine that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and the total package is strong. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Now, the detail that matters. The broker is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.
But. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. But inform your assessment.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal is worth it is your call.
